His Holiness, Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharathitheertha Mahaswamigal, guides and steers the administration of the college through a Board of Directors of Sree Sankara College Association with Managing Director, Sri K Anand at the helm. The current principal of the college is Prof (Dr.) Anilkumar M. Apart from this, there is a college council which consists of the principal, heads of the departments, two members elected from the teaching staff and the librarian. Various committees with the teaching and non teaching staff as members also function in the college. The Principal is assisted by College Council, various committees and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell [IQAC]. Their presence plays a major role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the institution.

Sree Sankara College Association
Sree Sankara College Association was formed under section 26 of the Indian Companies Act “for promoting art, science, religion, charity, education and culture. In particular, the objects for which the association is established are:
(i) Organising and conducting a College for University education by the name Sree Sankara College Kalady.
(ii) Organising and conducting Colleges and other institutions for imparting higher courses of studies including Agricultural, Industrial, Engineering, Medical, and other technical courses, as also institution for basic and social education.
(iii) Organizing and conducting special educational institutions and hostels of Gurukula and other types thereby combining with secular education, moral and religious training in accordance with Bharathic culture.
(iv) To found scholarships and fellowships for the encouragement of learning and research.
(v) To impart Sanskrit education and promote the heritage language of our country.
(vi) Organizing and conducting institutions for specializing Vedanta with special reference to the Sankara School of Thought.
Commensurate with the aims and objectives of the Association, Sree Sankara College was started in 1954 and over the years, has grown into a centre of great potential in the area of University education, affiliated to M. G. University, Kottayam.
Sree Sankara College Association that consists of a Board of Directors governs the college. The management is sincere, dedicated and contribute its best for the smooth functioning of the college.
