The department of Environment Science and Management organised a visit as a part of the Association’s social service activity to Mathruchaya Old Age Home, Chowara. 25 students accompanied by 4 faculties of the department took part in the activity. The aim of the visit was to inculcate values like gratitude, joy and understanding in the students. The department also presented the caregivers a monetary support of Rs. 5000 as a small token of love. Which can later be utilised for the wellbeing of the inhabitants.
Various cultural activities organised by the students helped to make a change in the hearts of the inhabitants and provided great emotional support to them. The socialisation as well as the intergenerational connections benefited both the students as well as the inhabitants equally as the students were able to gain life insights and familial values and the older citizens got a mental stimulation and emotional wellness at the moment.
