The Department of B.Voc Honours in Renewable Energy Management, in collaboration with the Environmental Department, organized an Industrial Visit (IV) to Thattekad Bird Sanctuary.
Thattekad, also known as the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, is one of the richest bird habitats in India, offering a unique opportunity to explore biodiversity and ecological balance. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to environmental conservation, sustainable ecosystems, and the importance of preserving natural habitats.
During the visit, students observed a wide variety of bird species and gained insights into their habitats, behavior, and the role they play in maintaining ecological stability. The program also helped students understand the interconnection between renewable energy practices and environmental sustainability.
Faculty members accompanied the students, guiding them throughout the visit and facilitating meaningful discussions on conservation and sustainable development.
The IV was an enriching and informative experience, enhancing students’ awareness of biodiversity and reinforcing the importance of protecting nature for a sustainable future.
