The seminar series titled “Trends in Physical Sciences” (TriPS) has been conducted since 2011 with the following objectives:
- To provide insights into recent trends in physics and allied fields
- To promote interdisciplinary research awareness
- To encourage interaction between students and experts
- To enhance scientific curiosity and critical thinking
This year (2026), the tenth edition was organized with the objective of exposing students, researchers, and faculty members to recent advancements and emerging research areas in physical sciences. The program aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and current scientific developments.
TriPS 2026 served as a platform for our well placed Alumni to stage their achievements as well as contributions to the research field of Physical Sciences. In addition, Alumni who are into Entrepreneurship was also invited to introduce their success stories to the young students.

The Seminar was financially supported by the SMART scheme of IQAC, and was conducted in two phases – Phase I on 16th January 2026 and Phase II on 26 January 2026. Participants provided positive feedback, appreciating the clarity of presentations, relevance of topics, and interactive nature of the sessions.
