
Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary on-campus intervention established for creating awareness about preventing HIV infection, as well as promoting voluntary blood donation among the students. The RRC conducts these activities with the support of the State Department of Higher Education.
Objective
- To reduce new HIV infection among youth by raising their risk perception through awareness of Sex, Sexuality and HIV & AIDS
- To induce among youth the spirit to help and support People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against them.
- To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills of leadership, negotiation, and team building
- To promote Voluntary non-remunerated Blood Donation among youth
