About IQAC

INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

The college has a fully functional and dedicated team as the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) whose primary aim is monitoring and ensuring quality norms in curricular and non-curricular activities of the college. IQAC play a catalytic role in the internalisation of the quality policy through recommendations of quality initiatives, proposals of corrective measures if needed, conduct of regular audits by authorised bodies for a quantitative analysis of the functioning of college and its quality initiatives. The IQAC composition is based on UGC regulations and consists of:

  1. A Chairperson
  2. A Coordinator
  3. Seven Teachers
  4. The Librarian
  5. One member from the Management
  6. Two senior administrative officers
  7. Nominee from the Local Society
  8. One boy Student and One Girl student
  9. Alumni Representative
  10. Industry Nominee
  11. Two External Experts

The Role of IQAC in Quality Assurance

IQAC will formulate mechanisms and procedures for ensuring

  • Timely, efficient, effective and professional performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks
  • The quality and upgradation of academic and research programmes at par with changing scenarios
  • Integration and adaptation of innovative methods of teaching and learning
  • Fool proof and effective evaluation of students
  • Augmentation and maintenance of Infrastructure and learning resources
  • Quality enhancement of Teachers
  • Networking with National as well as International institutions

The IQAC is expected to become a part of an institution’s system and work towards its goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of the college. For this, the IQAC will channelize all efforts and measures of the college towards promoting its holistic academic excellence. The composition of IQAC is as per UGC Guidelines.

The IQAC is entrusted with preparation of Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) every year and upload it to NAAC website. IQAC initiates and carries out preparations for NAAC accreditation once in every five years, in association with NAAC Committee.
