The department of Environment Science and Management organised an interaction program with alumni of the department Ms. Chandni H Nair, regarding the entrepreneurship possibilities of the subject. The program was conducted on the 27th of February 2025, the talk addressed the importance of using biofertilizers for sustainable farming and a better future. The alumni experienced with the production of Vermiwash, a nutrient- rich liquid produced during vermicomposting shared her experiences and challenges while starting her small-scale production as well as the benefits of using the same for the environment.
The students gained an understanding of how the subject knowledge learned should be applied in real life entrepreneurial situations and how the environment already degraded can be restored by using vermiwash, a by-product of earthworm activity.
