The vibrant Festival De Comida, a grand food fest organized by the Microxia – Microbiology Association, in collaboration with the Alumni Association, was held on September 25, 2024, at the Sree Sankara Auditorium, Sree Sankara College, Kalady aimed to: raising funds for rebuilding Wayanad after the recent calamities.

Grand Inauguration:
The event was inaugurated by Dr.Prof. Anil Kumar ,Principal, Sree Sankara College, Kalady. He commended the organizers for their dedication to both promoting cultural association and supporting a meaningful cause.
The fest featured over 30 food stalls, offering a variety of delicacies ranging from traditional Kerala dishes to international cuisines. The food was prepared and presented by current students, alumni, and faculty, showcasing their culinary talents and innovation.
Cultural Performances:
To add vibrancy to the event, the auditorium resonated with cultural performances, music, nail painting, facial painting all centered around the themes of food, community, and sustainability.
Interactive Sessions and Games:
The event also hosted interactive fun-filled games, engaging both participants and visitors in a wholesome experience.
Outcome:
The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of students, alumni, faculty, and members of the local community. A significant sum was raised through food sales and donations, all of which will be donated for the rebuilding efforts in Wayanad.
