The Sanskrit Department of Sree Sankara College, Kalady, organized a solemn and intellectually enriching program featuring Anusmaranam, Puraskaradanam, and Vakyarthasadas.
The event was conducted in honor of two eminent scholars, Prof. K. P. Babudas and Prof. M. Radhakrishnan, recognizing their invaluable contributions to the field of Sanskrit and academics.
The program witnessed the presence of distinguished dignitaries and scholars. Prof. A. Subrahmanyan Iyyer presided over the function, guiding the proceedings with his insightful presence. The event was further enriched by the participation of eminent speakers including Dr. K. V. Vasudevan and Dr.E.N. Narayanan, who shared their scholarly perspectives and reflections.
Sri Karthik Sharma, a young scholar of Sanskrit Vedanta, was honored with an award named after Prof. K. P. Babudas.
The Anusmaranam session paid heartfelt tribute to the lives and achievements of Prof. K. P. Babudas and Prof. M. Radhakrishnan, recalling their dedication to teaching, research, and the promotion of Sanskrit literature.
The Vakyarthasadas that followed featured vibrant intellectual discussions, where participants engaged in traditional debate and interpretation of Sanskrit texts, showcasing the depth and vitality of classical learning. The students of the Sanskrit department also participated in the Vākyārtha Sadas, which gave them an insightful experience.
The program concluded on a note of reverence and inspiration, reinforcing the importance of preserving and promoting Sanskrit scholarship for future generations.
