The Department of B.Voc Honours in Renewable Energy Management organized an Industrial Visit (IV) to a biogas plant in collaboration with The Andhyodaya.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical knowledge about biogas technology and its role in sustainable energy production. During the visit, students were introduced to the process of biogas generation from organic waste through anaerobic digestion.
Experts explained the working of the biogas plant, including key components such as the digester, gas holder, and slurry outlet. Students also gained insights into waste management, methane production, and the utilization of biogas as a clean and renewable source of energy.
The session emphasized the environmental benefits of biogas systems, including waste reduction, pollution control, and sustainable energy generation. Faculty members accompanied the students and guided them throughout the visit, making it an interactive and informative learning experience.
The IV helped students understand the practical applications of renewable energy technologies and reinforced the importance of sustainable practices for a greener future.
