About

 

The Biodiversity Club of Sree Sankara College, Kalady is a registered club under the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB), Thiruvananthapuram, bearing the registration number KSBB/BDC/07017. The club is actively engaged in promoting environmental awareness and Biodiversity Conservation. The Club regularly conducts variety of programmes aimed at fostering ecological consciousness among students and the community. These include expert lectures, quizzes, seminars, workshops, and the celebration of important biodiversity-related days. In addition, the club undertakes initiatives such as the planting of rare and indigenous tree species, organizing nature camps and institutional visits, and participating in faunal surveys as well as floral and faunal documentation activities.

Objective

To enlighten the students on the significance of biodiversity, engaging in community initiatives to protect flora and fauna, and promoting sustainable practices
