Objective
To educate students to refrain from discriminating against or stereotyping neither staff nor students on the basis of sex or gender, treating all with equal respect, offering gender sensitivity training to all staff and students, and providing adequate representation of female care providers.
Functions
- Empowering girl students with life-skills, employment skills, leadership-skills and self-confidence
- Maintaining a conducive ambience for health and hygiene of girl students and female staff
- Interactive sessions with transgender personalities from various walks of life, on various genders and related aspects
- Active gender sensitivity club, Internal Complaints Committee, Grievance cell
- Maintaining gender balance in various decision-making bodies
- Organizing seminar/ workshops and special lectures to inculcate gender awareness and consciousness
