Women’s cell of Sree Sankara College, Kalady known as “SAKHI”, stands for the overall empowerment of girl students of the college.
Objective
- To empower girl students on all walks of life, by providing them training on life skill, employability skill, self-defence, financial self- sustainability and social commitment.
- To invoke gender sensitization among students of all genders
Functions
- Conducts training classes on life skill, employability skill, administrative skill, self-defence and financial self- sustainability
- Organise sessions of health and hygeine
- Organises interactive sessions with women leaders and empowered ladies
- Performance sessions to stage the talents
- Inculcating social responsibility and social commitment by indulging in charity works
